Essential Responsibilities: Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles. Advises immediate management on project-level issues. Guides junior engineers. Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices. Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions. Minimum Qualifications:3 years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:Preferred Role Qualifications. Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with deep experience using the Android SDK, modern frameworks, and architectural patterns Proven experience delivering production-quality Android features in complex mobile applications Hands-on experience with performance optimization, debugging, profiling, and instrumentation Background building or maintaining high-scale consumer mobile applications Familiarity with regulated environments, financial services, or payment technologies Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, design, and data teams Preferred Team Qualifications. Experience integrating or supporting mobile experimentation platforms such as Statsig or equivalent solutions Experience working with mobile analytics platforms such as Segment, Amplitude, or similar tools Familiarity with application monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Sentry, or similar tools Familiarity with or contributions to open-source mobile or Android projects Subsidiary:PayPal. Travel Percent:0-The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:Primary Location | Pay Range:Austin, Texas | ($130,500.00 - $193,600.00 Annually)Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:San Jose, California | ($143,500.00 - $212,850.00 Annually) Chicago, Illinois | ($130,500.00 - $193,600.00 Annually) Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
