Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications. Performs production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, and sub-assemblies, equipment and accessories using manual operations. Verify kitted parts against installation plans and bill of materials for accuracy and suitability. Select and use appropriate drill bits. Apply sealants, primers, and adhesives compounds as required by working instruction. Install fasteners in the correct sequence using appropriate tools, adhering to specifications. Inspect completed work for defects, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and report any job handicaps. Move kits, carts, and equipment within the work cell to facilitate workflow and maintain personal and tool certifications. Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by participating in the design, fabrication and testing of new concepts and technology. Physical Demands and Potential Hazards. Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights up to 35 lbs. Adapt to varying and high noise and vibrations. Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience) hands-on experience working in manufacturing or related sectors like aerospace, automotive, construction, maritime, or military. Willing to work 2nd shift. This position has responsibility to build and monitor color coded safety analysis displays to support real time test missions. Candidates are required to be able to accurately differentiate between Red/ Orange/ Yellow/ Green/ Blue etc colors for safety of flight and safety of test displays during real time flight test missions. Experience working with paints, coatings, finishes, and/or sealants. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/ Experience) Ability to wear hearing protection (ear inserts, canal caps, earmuffs); eye protection. Experience following oral and written instructions in the form of blueprints, drawings, work instructions. Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Understands the organization’s vision, goals, and objectives; lead team to excel in daily performance and achieve higher levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. Leads with understanding of the BPS standards. Ensure team members understand key performance indicators and embrace the goals set. Aligns to strategic goals by working with team to identify ideas or projects for process improvement and all elements of safety, quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and people. Coaches team members on standardized work starting with on-boarding through daily utilization and including any gaps identified. Identifies roadblocks that are inhibiting progress; seek help from leadership and support, when required. Encourages a culture of continuous improvement and systematic problem solving. Frequently interfaces with team by being available in the work area. Supports and participates in improvement activities and involve team members in improvement activities. Assists in the elimination of defects through systematic problem solving and coordination with upstream processes . years of experience installing aerospace components, construction or automotive assemblies with precision measurement tools, hand and power tools. Possess Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or License. Experience with shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/ Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). Experience differentiating production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements. Understands the dynamics of effective teamwork in order to attain higher levels of performance. Experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools. Travel:10%
