The Production Compounding Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of production- machinery to produce quality products within specifications and according to customer requirements.- This position specializes in the operation of mixing, oven, slicing operations. As with all positions at SGPPL Poestenkill, this employee will follow all work practices, policies and procedures mandated to keep the facility in compliance with the ISO 9001 and Environmental, Health and Safety Standards. The Poestenkill, NY manufacturing site is part of Saint-Gobain’s Life Sciences Business Unit providing fluid transfer solutions for medical devices, closure systems, analytical equipment and bioprocesses.-- Lab. Pure-, CHEMWARE-, VERSILIC- and other products are manufactured at the Poestenkill plant See us at At Poestenkill we strive to bring well-being to people by improving daily life with products within sectors of environmental sampling, medical packaging, pharmaceutical packaging and others.-- - - Essential Functions - - Operate assigned production machines and processes according to the daily production schedule to produce quality products within specifications; equipment may include milling, oven, and slicing operations (50%) Consistently meet production, quality, and EHS standards while operating production equipment Continuously monitor product quality and communicate any issues or variations to the Shift Supervisor; make necessary machine adjustments to maintain quality standards (20%) Accurately complete all required quality, inventory, and manufacturing documentation each shift (10%) Ensure smooth transition between shifts by clearly communicating instructions, issues, and process updates to the next operator (10%) Communicate equipment or facility repair needs to appropriate personnel as needed (5%) Support other manufacturing areas as time and business needs allow (5%) Comply with and support enforcement of all EHS policies and procedures; participate in all required site EHS training and audit programs (100%) - - Qualifications and Requirements - - - - Education - - High School Diploma or GED required - - Licenses and Certifications - - No licenses or certifications required - - Work Experience - - Prior manufacturing and assembly experience preferred Proven success working in a manufacturing environment preferred - - Quality & Safety Expectations - - The employee is responsible for: Understanding and complying with all quality and safety policies Completing all required quality and safety training for the position Following all quality and safety rules and procedures and encouraging compliance among others Promptly addressing and reporting any unsafe conditions or quality issues Speaking up when unsafe behaviors or quality concerns are observed, focusing on solutions rather than blame Adhering to all data integrity principles
