Provides feedback, coaching, training conflict resolution, and conducts audits. Identifies process constraints and incorporates appropriate decision making and problem solving techniques. Responsibilities also include providing the shift supervisor with relevant performance feedback in addition to providing daily work direction and leadership to assigned team to maintain and improve business results. Manage to establish SQDC metrics. Acts as a mentor to newer team leads. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure the continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following operations standards (safety, quality, delivery, cost, maintenance), identify issues, engage the T 1 team in problem resolution and understands when to escalate issues to T 2 team, partnering with Value Stream Supervisor as appropriate. Provide coaching and facilitate training to develop employees within the cost center/value stream, following AMS principles. Completes standard work & control plan audits and ensures corrective actions are completed. Focuses on improving the business through AMS tools; CI Boards, Focus Boards and Kaizens. Participate & lead A 3 projects focused on improving business metrics. Participate and complete corrective actions from the MCA process. Participate in T 2 meetings & lead in the absence of the VSS. Demonstrate leadership in the areas of communication, conflict resolution, process constraints and problem solving. Lead and effectively communicate at daily T 1/ FLM meeting. Maintain T 1/ FLM visual management tools (PVA, run charts, focus boards, and other tools) to drive continuous improvement. Follows and enforces all safety procedures according to standards. Is proactive on safety concerns and takes action when appropriate. Knowledge of employee capabilities and training within assigned cost center/value stream. Coordinates movement of employees according to business needs; through the development and maintaining of the cross-training matrix. Participate in problem solving using AMS tools and methodology (5 Why, PDCA, MCA, CAPA, focus boards). Cascades problem solving knowledge to Tier 1/ FLM. Lead continuous improvement within the assigned cost center/value stream. Act as a mentor to VSTL I’s. Understand the interdependencies (manufacturing/functional groups) across the value stream. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/ OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS - At least 2 years’ experience successfully leading work teams in the achievement of value stream goals and objectives. Manufacturing Operations experience. Ability to learn product, process and equipment. Intermediate computer skills (MS Office). Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques (5 S). Changeover and set-up knowledge. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train and motivate employees. Proven ability to problem solve, make sound decisions and delegate appropriately. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven effectiveness working with others. Continuous improvement experience required. Proven ability to be flexible. Self-motivated. Successful completion of all AMS foundation courses. PAY RANGE:$24.95 - $36.15
