Rayonier is seeking applicants to fill an Electrician position at the Gwinn Lumber Mill. The Electrician will be responsible for providing and performing routine predictive and preventative maintenance, repairs and safety inspections of electrical equipment and infrastructure through the mill and property. Fixed Schedule - Rotating Weekends with Every Other Weekend Off Day Shift: 5:00 am-3:30 pm Wednesday thru Saturday one week & Sunday, Wednesday thru Friday the next week. The hourly pay rate for this position is: $36.78 Production & Quality Perform electrical functions including electrical safety, programmable logic controls, print reading, system identification, component location, process knowledge, and standard control circuits. Read mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical drawings and blueprints. Basic troubleshooting and repair electrical systems. Safety & Environmental Operates all equipment in a safe manner and maintains a clean work area. Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S. High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational degree or equivalent experience preferred A good attendance, work, and safety record. Basic understanding of computers and window-based programs. Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Current on Crane, Forklift and Arial Lift certifications Able to climb stairs and catwalks at elevated levels. Able to carry tools, bend, read gauges, and use radio. Able to lift 50 lbs. Must be capable of working in hot, dusty, cold wet, dirty, confined working environment on occasion. Knowledge of equipment and tools Knowledge of electrical functions, including control switches, electrical panels, power supplies, control power wiring, and functions of the mill Basic knowledge of PLC's, PLC locations, PLC motor operations and components needed to operate and navigate PLC logic Ability to learn PC skills related to position Ability to read write and interpret wiring and circuit diagrams Must be able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
