The Anesthesia Technician/ Technologist is responsible for procurement, maintenance, availability of supplies and equipment pertaining to anesthesia care; assisting professional nursing staff and anesthesiologists during the intubation and extubation phases of anesthesia; assisting in preparation and placement of special invasive and non-invasive lines/procedures; and providing room turnover for anesthesia and in any other areas of the procedure or operating room, as time and skill allow. Requirements. Graduation from an accredited anesthesia technician/technologist program preferred. Current certification as an Anesthesia Technician through the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists (ASATT) or, CNA, MA or EMT certification preferred. One year of experience in an Anesthesia Tech position in lieu of certification may be considered. BLS Certification required.
