Cape Fox Mountain Point is seeking a motivated Entry Level Environmental Project Coordinator to support our growing portfolio of federal environmental contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in federal environmental project delivery. The role provides direct exposure to USACE and NAVFAC contracting processes, environmental regulations, and large-scale remediation and compliance projects. You will work closely with the Director of Environmental and cross-functional project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements. Key Responsibilities Support the day-to-day coordination of environmental projects, including remediation, hazardous waste management, NEPA documentation, and environmental compliance activities under USACE and NAVFAC task orders. Assist in the preparation, review, and submittal of project deliverables such as work plans, sampling plans, progress reports, cost estimates, and closeout documentation. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely execution of field activities (e.g., soil/groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, and site assessments). Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables using company project management tools; flag potential issues to the Director of Environmental. Maintain organized project files, records, and databases in accordance with USACE/ NAVFAC quality assurance and records management standards. Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client teleconferences; take detailed notes and distribute action items. Help develop environmental proposals, including technical approaches, labor estimates, and basis-of-estimate documentation. Support compliance with key federal regulations (CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, CAA, NEPA, etc.) and DoD environmental policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental to support overall department and company goals. The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 The above salary range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Travel Requirements 10 - 25% Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related field (graduation by start date acceptable). 0–2 years of relevant professional or internship experience in environmental consulting, remediation, or federal contracting. Basic understanding of environmental regulations and federal project delivery processes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Willingness and ability to travel to project sites (up to 25–30% as needed). Preferred Qualifications Internship or co-op experience with environmental field work, data collection, or government contracting. Familiarity with USACE or NAVFAC project requirements, EM 385-1-1 safety standards, or federal procurement processes. Exposure to environmental software (e.g., GIS, database management tools, or project management platforms). Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire).
