The Department of Educational Policy and Leadership is looking to hire one part-time adjunct instructor/lecturer to teach a hybrid section of EDPL 6720: Business Administration of Educational Organizations, which will be offered in summer session 2 (7/6 – 8/15). Course Description: EDPL 6720 serves students in our Educational Leadership program. Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the department Chair and Director of Graduate Studies for Educational Leadership, the instructor will perform the following duties: Plan and teach weekly classes Evaluate student learning using appropriate assessment methods and College of Education program evaluation system Maintain and submit accurate and current records concerning student accountability, attendance, and performance Maintain a student-oriented approach to education Provide opportunities for individual consultation and feedback for students in the course Provide frequent communication with students on their progress in the course Uphold professional and ethical standards and adhere to University policies and procedures Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities PhD highly preferred or Master’s degree and substantial experience in higher education. Excellent oral and written communication and proficiency. Knowledge of research methods and educational contexts.
