The Global Security Specialist II is responsible for supporting Global Security personnel in the execution of the global security services mission. Assists with the establishment and maintenance of corporate policies and procedures while assessing potential security vulnerabilities through in depth audit processes. Liaison with security personnel and other resources as required. to provide security, risk assessment support, or asset protection for the company. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Performs security assessments gauging the effectiveness of existing security systems and programs. Cooperates with local police and fire protection groups, defense agencies, and other regulatory agencies to exchange information, coordinate activities, and resolve sensitive problems. . Maintains COMSEC accounting and related files regarding transfer, possession, destruction, and inventory reports, as well as correspondence regarding COMSEC Custodian and Alternate COMSEC Custodian appointment confirmations. Provides guidance to appointed alternate COMSEC Custodians, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines regarding COMSEC accounts, and that required. government-provided training is received. Assists with the establishment of security programs to include security systems, guard force and policy implementation at newly leased, purchased or constructed facilities. Establishes and maintains relationships with third party security services providers as necessary. Conducts and coordinates complex investigations and reports of incidents in assigned area of responsibility. Ensures compliance with Department of Defense (DOD), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and corporate policies in providing sensitive government aircraft security and asset protection services. Maintains professional and technical knowledge and awareness of industry best practices and technology trends and upcoming enhancements. Perform security compliance and auditing as assigned on behalf of Global Security Services. Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: Requires knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations relating to security. Proven experience working with local, state and federal law enforcement organizations. Demonstrated computer knowledge. Additional Certifications may be required. based on area of responsibility.
