First-level contact and problem resolution with hardware, software, and applications. Resolves user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for handling support cases. District jobsite setup and turndown, including remote support; participates in BT projects with direct guidance and direction. Delivers technical training and other knowledge resources; administers and monitors district office and construction site server resources and technology solutions to ensure optimal operation and responds to issues. Technology asset management and tracking; conferencing installation, configuration, and support. Problem escalation through defined support channels; provides implementation support on corporate and regional initiatives. Accurate and timely logging of problems, and resolutions to problems, in problem management database. Communicates to the district the ongoing status of Business Technology initiatives and changes to existing systems and solutions. Mobile device configuration and support. Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture. Other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or a related discipline. Co-op/internship or relevant experience preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely. Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skill; basic understanding of how networking, server operating systems, and virtualization work together. Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work. Ability to work under pressure and escalate as required; ability to manage multiple products and solutions simultaneously. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and with employees at all levels/disciplines of the organization. Ability to work independently and with a geographically dispersed team. Independently conducts effective meetings in support of various projects and deliverables. Knowledge of change management methodologies an asset; ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information. Ability to learn independently and stay current with new technologies; ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
