Role Purpose This role is responsible for managing multiple shop employees (10-15 mechanics) , scheduling all maintenance services, parts ordering and acquisition, and compliance with all airport and DOT regulations and in accordance with Menzies Aviation policies and procedures. The GSE Duty Manager is also responsible for all repair and maintenance actions that occur during other shifts. The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols. What you will be doing Plans, organizes, and directs the work of the duties to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities and equipment Responsible for the establishment of performance standards for each phase of work Responsible for the adherence to standard practices and quality specifications for all work performed Establish a program for the acquisition, storage, and accountability of all parts, materials, tools, and equipment Detailed record keeping of all fleet vehicles Make regular inspections of the condition of all equipment and systems. Report findings, and the actions required correcting any deficiencies Perform any additional duties on an as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual limitations or as required by the Administration Must have the ability to remotely diagnosis vehicle problems and quickly problem solve Develop and oversee an effective work safety program Other duties as assigned by your manager Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance: You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. What we are looking for: Must be 18 years of age or older Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record ASE Certification preferred (not required) Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs repetitively Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials and documents Has a duty to suggest any improvements to working practices, especially those relating to safety and security. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendors, and other employees of the organization. Must have high school diploma, GED or one-year experience as a Supervisor in the Aviation Industry.
