Martin Marietta is seeking a Parts Person-Warehouse Support person for our Maple Grove Maintenance Facility location that will report to the Parts Department Manager. The duties will include primarily focus on parts delivery, but also encompass all functions that relate to shipping, receiving, warehousing, facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, shop support, and field support. Essential Functions. Delivery and pickup for parts locally. Load and unload motor freight trucks, flatbed trailers, and containers using large and small forklifts. Receive/check-in parts and supplies for inventory, shop jobs, field operations, and maintenance. Pull orders for shop jobs and field operations. Assist with facility and grounds maintenance. Prepare items for shipment by motor freight and smaller FedEx/ UPS ground and express. General housekeeping of work area and warehouse. Competencies. Safety Acumen. Teamwork. Communication. This position operates 25% in a warehouse/maintenance facility environment and 75% in field operations and vendor locations picking up and delivering parts and supplies. Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, frequently lift or move 75 lbs., and constantly lift or move 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work. This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and could require occasional weekend work. Required Education and Experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record 2 years of delivery experience required. Additional Eligibility Qualifications. Basic computer skills. Inventory skills a plus. Ability to operate large and small forklifts. Must be willing to travel locally. Other Duties. The hiring range for this position is $25.65 -$29.85 exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The hiring range for this role represents the base compensation we expect to pay for the position at time of hire and does not represent the total possible base pay of the position. This is a safety sensitive role and Martin Marietta will continue to require drug testing that does include testing for cannabis/ THC.
