War. Horse Gaming is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Associate Cyber Security Analyst to join our Information Technology team. Reporting directly to the Sr. IT Manager, this position plays a key role in monitoring systems, analyzing threats, responding to vulnerabilities, and supporting security best practices across the organization. Position Details. Position Title: IT Associate Cyber Security Analyst, LLC - Department: Information Technology. Reports To: Sr. IT Manager. Employment Type: Full-Time. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Additional evening, weekend, holiday, and overnight support may be required based on business needs. Travel between War. Horse Gaming properties may be required. Salary is BOE What You'll Do. As an IT Associate Cyber Security Analyst, you will help protect company networks, systems, and data by proactively identifying and responding to cybersecurity threats. Key Responsibilities. Monitor computer networks, systems, and security tools for threats and suspicious activity. Analyze alerts, logs, and security events involving malware, exploits, and cyber-attacks. Assist with daily malware reviews and remediation efforts. Escalate vulnerabilities and security gaps to IT leadership. Support vulnerability assessments and remediation processes. Document investigations, findings, and incident response activities. Assist with security audits, documentation requests, and compliance initiatives. Coordinate with vendors to resolve IT security issues. Research emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices. Support forensic response efforts when necessary. Help educate team members on cybersecurity awareness and security procedures. Maintain strong communication with internal users and stakeholders. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications. Required Education & Experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in cybersecurity, cyber analysis, or related IT field. Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License. Preferred Knowledge & Skills. Knowledge of penetration testing and network security principles. Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM platforms, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Ability to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to incidents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Industry certifications such as CISSP or related certifications are preferred.
