Patient Account Representative II Billing Department Announcement #336267 Patient Account Representative II is a critical part of the larger finance team and is responsible for reviewing patient account information to ensure accurate and timely billing and collection follow-up efforts. This position not only involves critical billing work with insurance companies but also involves payment posting, an integral function of the hospital's Accounts Receivable. Great customer service paired with knowledge of billing software, insurance claims, and billing as well as attention to detail will make this a great fit for your work style. What you'll need: Certified Patient Account Technician (CPAT) preferred High school graduate or GED equivalency required Previous office experience: hospital accounts receivable and insurance experience preferred Previous healthcare billing or cash posting is preferred. Required to write and be verbally fluent in basic medical billing terminology Required to stay versed in industry standards and trends Schedule: 1.0 FTE; 40 hours\/week; Day Shift; No weekends!
