The Clinical Nursing Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). The role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. The Clinical Nursing Manager role demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement. This position consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. The Clinical Nursing Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. Job Requirements. In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: 3 years RN experience, required 1-year clinical leadership experience, required. High School GED required. A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required. Masters Degree preferred Current RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required BLS through the American Heart Association. Must sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire or transfer into the role. Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire or transfer into the role. Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer. Credential: Nursing Specific- ANCC Approved. Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly)Schedule: Full time (days)Where You'll Work. The Emergency Department at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital has 27 ED beds, three behavioral health rooms and five fast-track rooms. The Emergency Department handles acute and subacute issues. We are a Level IV trauma center with rural and critical care access. As part of an active community, St. Mary-Corwin is located near Pueblo’s main tourist area with many outdoor activities. We see everything from major traumas, STEM - Is, and strokes to minor cases of viral illness and well-child checks. We are proficient in EMTALA laws with our stabilization and transfer experience of acutely emergent patients. Being a critical access hospital, our case mix is broad. We see patients including neonates and geriatrics and even treat an inmate population. Occasionally we receive overflow, butrarely will we need to board a patient. We have a great team environment.
