A Research Associate I-Bench position focusing on translational discoveries in T cell memory, exhaustion and cancer immunotherapy is available at the Kalia Lab. The project involves high dimensional immunomics approaches to make new discoveries, which feed seamlessly into our pipeline of next-generation engineered CAR T cell and checkpoint blockade immunotherapies for solid tumors in preclinical mouse models. Our studies aim to achieve metastasis-free and lifelong remission of intractable solid tumors such as pancreatic cancer, brain tumor, lung cancer, melanoma, neuroblastoma and sarcoma. - Conduct laboratory work and experiments to support ongoing research projects in the realm of infectious disease and cancer immunology and immunotherapy. - Work collaboratively with senior researchers and scientists to perform a variety of moderately complex technical procedures; implement modifications in experimental procedures or technique to obtain optimal experimental results; assist in the analysis, interpretation, organization and presentation of data; and maintain the laboratory inventory, equipment and resources. Required Education and Experience. Bachelor’s Degree in microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, or related field. Minimum one (1) year of laboratory research experience. Required Credentials. N/ A. Preferred. Previous experience with core cellular immunology techniques including multi-color flow cytometry, in vitro T cell and mammalian cell culture. Experience working with mouse colony, in vivo murine experimentation and techniques. Proficiency with molecular techniques such as DNA/ RNA isolation, cloning, PCR, quantitative RT-PCR, and retroviral transduction. Familiarity with computers and literature search. Experience analyzing and plotting flow data using spreadsheets and statistical analysis. Compensation Range$23.15 - $34.73 per hour.
