Production Assembler III - Location: Tacoma, WA - Company: Milgard Windows and Doors (A MITER Brands Company)Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 (depending on experience)The Production Assembler III is an advanced manufacturing role responsible for independently performing complex window and patio door assembly operations across multiple production phases. This position demonstrates a high level of technical proficiency, quality ownership, and safety leadership while consistently meeting or exceeding departmental goals for productivity, accuracy, and efficiency. Assemblers at this level serve as subject matter resources for peers and support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. Independently perform complex assembly tasks in the construction of windows and patio doors across multiple production phases. Interpret and execute standard work instructions, specifications, and quality requirements with minimal guidance. Serve as a technical resource for less experienced assemblers by providing guidance, best practices, and informal coaching. Monitor product quality through self-inspection and proactive identification of defects or process issues. Consistently meet or exceed production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals. Support cross-training and demonstrate flexibility by working in multiple assembly areas as business needs require. Assist with set-ups, troubleshooting, and minor adjustments to tools, fixtures, or equipment. Actively participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5 S initiatives. Model and promote safe work practices, including full compliance with safety policies and PPE requirements. Demonstrate Milgard’s Core Values in all interactions, contributing to a positive and accountable team environment. What You Will Bring. High school diploma or GED - Carpentry and Woodworking. Geometry experience. Figure our radius and angles. Three (3) or more years of manufacturing or assembly experience, preferably in window, door, or building products manufacturing. Advanced proficiency using hand and power tools. Strong mechanical aptitude, including accurate tape measure reading and consistent measurement skills. Solid math skills, including fractions and basic calculations. Proven ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy. Attention to detail with a strong commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Willingness and ability to mentor others and support team development. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing environment. Flexibility to cross-train and adapt to changing production demands. Preferred Qualifications. Experience serving as a trainer, mentor, or peer resource in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts or continuous improvement practices. Prior experience identifying and addressing quality or process issues#MITE - Rtac.
