This Program Support Analyst position plays a vital role in advancing Health Informatics by transforming complex data into meaningful insights that support programs across all OPH bureaus. Working closely with the OPH Business Intelligence Manager, this position will lead data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence efforts to identify trends, support strategic decision-making, and develop innovative data platforms that provide actionable public health information. Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR - Six years of experience in any field plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; ORA bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR - An advanced degree plus two years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:Conducts health informatics program support through data analysis, business intelligence tools, and ongoing evaluation of population health indicators for statewide public health programs and initiatives. Maintains and enhances database systems and reporting platforms that support actionable public health data analysis and programmatic decision-making. Executes population health indicator analyses, reporting, and data requests to support OPH programs, clinical staff, and Medicaid-related initiatives. Collaborates with management teams, data workgroups, and program staff to address data integrity issues, improve workflows, and identify opportunities for enhanced data utilization. Develops new programmatic indicators, technical documentation, and long-term data strategies to ensure consistent interpretation and effective communication of public health data. Produces quarterly data summaries and analytical reports that highlight trends, findings, deficiencies, and opportunities to improve public health outcomes and program performance. Manages secure data access, dataset extraction, and project timelines while providing regular updates and analytical support to the Business Intelligence Manager and OPH leadership.
