Responsibilities of this summer seasonal position include preparing and serving hot and cold food, beverages, and prepackaged snacks, candies; cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment and kitchen area, and operating a cash register. Hours will vary based on candidate availability, department needs, and weather. Examples of Work Performed: The following duties are typical of this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned. Prepare and serve all food and beverage items in accordance with established menu, safety, and sanitation standards. Operate a cash register and accurately process cash, credit, and other approved transactions. Operate food service equipment and vend food and beverages to the public. Clean and sanitize all food preparation areas, cooking and serving utensils, and equipment, including specialty machines. Monitor inventory levels and report needed supplies to the Supervisor in a timely manner. Properly use and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and department procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession area and associated workspaces. Provide courteous and efficient customer service to patrons. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:At least 14 years of age - Work Permit required for 14 or 15 year olds. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to perform varied tasks to completion without immediate supervision. The ability to provide written work communication such as daily inventory sheets, equipment, maintenance requests, time sheets, incident reports etc as needed.
