The role of the Buyer Agent is to coordinate, manage, and execute the proper procurement strategies for Nucor. Warehouse Systems for Buyout Services and Buyout Materials. - Developing vendor relationships to drive financial success for the Division. - Improved results through negotiations. - Recommend options for increased cost savings solutions. - Sourcing critical buyout racking materials. - Coordinating On-Time deliveries with vendors. - Creating Purchase Orders for Buyout Services. - Reconciling invoice and billing discrepancies. - Receiving orders and assuring accuracy and completeness of required documentation. - Assist in the coordination of resources between departments to maximize profit on each job. - Multi-tasking between projects, scheduling, pricing, phone, and email correspondence - Identify and effectively communicate potential problems or delays and offer cost-effective solutions - Working with the Quality Team and Project Managers on field issues to resolve any back charges from Buyout. Services and Buyout materials in a timely manner. - Follow NWS policy, Sales Service Procedures, and supporting the Division’s services practices. - Create a vision for future procurement activities including training, process documentation, and efficiencyimprovements. - Providing back-up to Project Coordination Team. - Develop a working knowledge of engineering, detailing, and fabrication practices. - Buyer Agents must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies,procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. . Minimum Qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. 2 years of experience in Purchasing/ Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Accounts Payable Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft D 365 Effective verbal and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Technical Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, or Engineering related fields - Strong background in the steel racking industry - Experience in Contract review - Proven ability to negotiate volume pricing or discounts.
