The Outbuildings Service Technician is responsible for traveling to remote and satellite facilities to perform maintenance and repair services in support of hospital operations. Reporting to the Facilities Assistant Director, this role provides hands-on support for building systems and coordinates maintenance activities across a designated group of outbuildings. Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is required. Responsibilities Travel to assigned remote sites to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections Coordinate and schedule small- to mid-size projects in collaboration with the Facilities Project Coordinator Play a key role in overseeing structural maintenance and day-to-day building operations Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned in accordance with the facility maintenance program Interact with building occupants to resolve day-to-day maintenance issues in a professional and courteous manner Manage workflows for subcontractors supporting small to mid-size projects and renovations Assist with coordinating office moves and space transitions as needed Qualifications High School Diploma required Minimum of 3 years of general maintenance experience in a commercial or institutional setting Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Valid driver’s license required Experience coordinating and working with external vendors and contractors Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills This position is ideal for a self-directed maintenance professional who enjoys variety, travel between sites, and supporting critical healthcare operations across multiple facilities.
