The Lab Tech 3 performs phlebotomy, processing, testing, and provides clerical support. Collect other specimens as needed. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other personnel. Essential Functions of the Role. Conducts advanced laboratory procedures where the range of possible errors is limited. Sorts, labels, and records patient specimens. Sets up specimen, material, and equipment in preparation for Medical Technologist to perform tests. Operates centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer, and other laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties. Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies. Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers. Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities. Key Success Factors. Phlebotomy skills for all age groups. Effective communication with staff and customers. Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions. Ability to perform laboratory protocols and procedures. Skill in the use of computers and related software applications. Knowledge of safety and infection control standards. QUALIFICATIONS - Location HTPN Expressway Dallas TX - Department OB/ GYN Associates Shift Day Monday - Friday 8 am 430 pm Preferred Experience Must be able to have at least 2 years of laboratory and or phlebotomy experience in a women's health or clinic-based lab. Epic Beaker experience highly desired. EDUCATION - H. S. Diploma/ GED Equivalent. EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience
