The Superintendent is responsible for:Maintaining project schedule and monitoring the work of Trade Contractors, provide three-week window schedules to Project Management. Planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, coordination of the work, and the activities of the Owner). Supervising total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Interfacing with client representatives, Architect and engineering representatives, other contractors, etc. Scheduling and conducting coordination meetings with Trade Contractors to jointly discuss procedures, process, problems, and scheduling. Determining adequacy of Trade Contractor's personnel and equipment and the availability of supplies to meet the schedule. Inspecting the work of Trade Contractors for defects and omissions. Recording the progress of the project via daily job reports. Coordinating receipt and storage of construction materials onsite, provide initial Quality Control inspections. Monitoring job safety and security policies, ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Conducting and documenting daily inspections. Documenting all violations, notifying project management, and recommending/implementing corrective actions as required. Reviewing and commenting on shop drawings, maintaining as built records. . The Successful Applicant. The right candidate has the following qualifications:3 years experience as an onsite Project Superintendent. Preference to ground-up multi-family construction. OSHA 10 Certification, OSHA 30 preferred. Massachusetts CSL License preferred. Competency with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project scheduling software, and Procore preferred. Strong ability to effectively communicate and work alongside with internal and external project team members. Strong ability to adjust to differing onsite conditions, different project requirements and processes. Ability to work in various conditions, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and build relationships with all those associated with the project.
