Lead a team of represented metrology technicians as a part of Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES)Work closely with business partners, space/satellite programs, and MATES leadership team. Provide lab oversight and approval of technical approaches. Respond to production and customer related issues. Lead initiatives to influence cross-functional improvements. Actively manage lab operations using established Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics. Responsible for coaching, counseling, mentoring and providing developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):This position must meet U.S. Export Control compliance requirements. R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”Experience with metrology. Experience building strong business partner relationships. Willing to travel domestically as needed. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/ Experience):3 years of experience managing projects 3 years of experience in metrology 3 years of experience in quality and/or lab management 3 years of experience in collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication. Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role. Experience working within the international quality standards.
