Conduct compliance activities in support of Transamerica’s life, annuity, supplemental health, voluntary benefits and LTCI (closed block) products. Primary responsibilities are to identify and communicate compliance requirements related to Transamerica’s insurance products and services and represent Compliance at meetings with senior members of the business. Provide oversight, leadership, and strategic direction to meet regulatory obligations, mitigate compliance risk, and foster a culture of ethics and accountability. Job Description Responsibilities:Work with the Head of Insurance Compliance on the design and implementation of the insurance compliance program, and in creating management reporting that communicates the insurance compliance program in a clear, concise and structured manner. Lead insurance compliance teams handling regulatory change management, state reporting, compliance testing, exam management, or resolution of operational compliance issues. Drive and oversee continuous improvement of team performance by tracking KPIs, recommending enhancements to core processes, and helping implement tools or solutions that improve workflow efficiency. Ensure the company complies with applicable federal, state, and local insurance laws and regulations, including those enforced by state departments of insurance, and other regulatory bodies. Lead the annual compliance risk assessment process and oversee and evaluate compliance monitoring and testing activities performed by the Insurance Compliance Department and first line functions. Create and maintain strong business and legal relationships, build trust, and cultivate collaboration and represent the company on industry committees regarding various regulatory issues. Identify, escalate and consult on problems and issues across the insurance company and develop strategic solutions to address the business and/or regulatory needs. Monitor and provide visibility into new and emerging regulatory changes identified and communicated by the Insurance Compliance Department. Develop, maintain, and update Compliance policies and procedures. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 12 years of insurance compliance experience Eight years of experience managing teams Advanced understanding of insurance laws and their impact on insurance products and operations Experience working with life and annuity products Strong influential leadership skills Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Capacity to prioritize competing demands across large-scale and complex initiatives Aptitude with technology and compliance operations Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree or JD FINRA Series 6/26 and/or 7/24 licenses Working Conditions:Hybrid office environment Moderate Travel 10-25% Compensation:The Salary for this position generally ranges between $205,000 - $215,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
