Location New York Business Area Engineering and CTO Ref # 10051427 Description & Requirements The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team at Bloomberg is building the next generation of internal platforms that power our global workforce. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep Workday expertise to help evolve and scale our Workday HCM ecosystem—driving high-impact solutions used across the company. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll design and build integrations, develop Extend applications, and partner closely with business partners to deliver solutions that directly influence how Bloomberg operates. What You’ll Do: - Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations and Extend applications that support critical HR processes - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions - Own end-to-end delivery—from design and development to deployment and optimization - Drive innovation by incorporating AI and automation into ERP workflows and processes - Improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability across the Workday platform. You'll need to have: - 5 years of experience as a Workday developer - A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. We’d love to see: - Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll, Application Designer, App Engine, SQR, Peoplecode, Integration Broker, BI Publisher, SQL - Strong expertise in Workday Studio, Extend, EIB, Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and Connectors - Solid experience with integration technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT) - Background in systems engineering, specifically enterprise application development - Strong understanding of HR systems and business processes - Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on delivering results - Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and Linux
