We are looking for a talented Product Manager – Associate to join our team specializing in marketing for our Cummins’ business in Columbus, IN. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Drive successful new product launches by facilitating comprehensive product introduction plans and deploying the full marketing promotional matrix to maximize market adoption. Strengthen product positioning by developing high-quality product literature and global training content that clearly communicates specifications, value propositions, and competitive differentiation. Optimize use of marketing resources by identifying, coordinating, and leveraging the right tools and channels to effectively support the full product range. Protect and enhance organizational value by partnering with legal counsel and engineering to safeguard intellectual property and ensure compliant use of product assets. Influence product range strategy by analyzing target markets and competitors, and collaborating with the Product Manager to implement timely and effective market responses. Improve customer satisfaction and product performance by monitoring feedback and working cross-functionally to resolve ongoing product-related issues. Increase promotional effectiveness by supporting the development, execution, and measurement of product promotions, using results to drive continuous improvement. Enable global profitability and operational excellence by collaborating across functions and regions, contributing to annual strategy planning, global product planning, and daily product line operations. To be successful in this role you will need the following: Commercial acumen positioning: Apply strong business insight to segment markets, define target positions, and craft clear value propositions that differentiate vs. competitors—grounded in customer perceptions, alternative solutions, and portfolio capabilities (Positioning for Target Segments, Articulating Value Proposition, Business Insight). Customer-centric execution: Build deep customer relationships, translate voice-of-customer and market data into actionable requirements, and resolve issues quickly to drive satisfaction and adoption (Customer Focus, Translating Relevant Market Data, Decision Quality). Plan and optimize for growth: Lead end-to-end marketing plan management across the 4 Ps, guide cross-functional implementation, and measure responses to refine pricing, promotions, and channel mix for profitable growth (Marketing Plan Management, Maximizing Profitability, Drives Results). Lifecycle and team effectiveness: Manage the product lifecycle to reflect evolving needs and market dynamics, make timely trade-off decisions, and leverage diverse perspectives across global teams to improve outcomes (Product Life Cycle Management, Decision Quality, Values Differences). Education/ Experience:College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, or a technical or related subject required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Minimal relevant work experience required. Action oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Data Analytics - Curates, interprets and communicates qualitative and quantitative data; determines conclusions relying on knowledge of CES business and products; applies statistics, data validity, data visualization, and problem-solving approaches to effectively extract meaningful patterns and business insights; presents conclusions and outcomes that enable data-driven business decisions. Adept at data analysis and report development in Microsoft Excel and Power BI - Experience Preferences:One or more years of professional work experience required. Academic background in engineering or science and/or professional experience with technical products.
