The Cardiac Device Specialist provides advanced patient and provider support within the VHC Health Physician Cardiology Service Line for patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIE - Ds), including implantable loop recorders, pacemakers, IC - Ds, and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) devices. This position is responsible for the interrogation, interpretation, and programming of all CIED types in both in-person and remote monitoring settings, as well as oversight of device clinic monitoring operations. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: Minimum two (2) years of cardiac device monitoring experience required. Minimum two (2) years of healthcare/medical office experience required. Experience with interrogation and reprogramming of CIE - Ds required (pacemakers, IC - Ds, CRT devices, IL - Rs)Experience with major device manufacturer platforms required: Medtronic, Boston Scientific, St. Jude Medical (Abbott), Biotronik. Experience with remote monitoring platforms preferred; Murj experience strongly preferred. Demonstrates basic competency in performing and interpreting electrocardiograms (EC - Gs). Certification/ Licensure: IBHRE Certification required within 12 months of employment. Acceptable certifications: Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS). BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 6 months of employment.
