The Sheriff's Department is recruiting for Sheriff's Food Services Supervisors who under general direction, supervise the preparation of food at a Sheriff's institutional facility; supervise and participate in the work of food service staff; perform related duties as required. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Background: Prior to appointment, applicants will be fingerprinted and must pass an extensive background investigation, including a polygraph examination. Applicants must not have been convicted of a felony. Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet one of the following options:Option A: Two (2) years of full-time experience overseeing food preparation in a correctional institution. Desired Qualifications Supervisory or management experience in a correctional setting, full service restaurant, food processing plant, or cafeteria that includes writing schedules, menu planning, and coordinating events is highly desired.
