Bohler’s Fairfield, CT office, serving Southern Connecticut, is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to support complex civil engineering, site design, and land development projects. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality site design solutions while contributing technical expertise across grading, utilities, stormwater management, permitting, and project coordination. The support of mentors and peers who push you to keep growing What You’ll Do Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites. Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses. Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance. Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3 D and design software. Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)5 years of experience in land development design and permitting (we will also consider candidates with 1 years of experience for a Design Engineer position)Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3 D and related engineering software. Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements. Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
