The Office of Business, Hospitality, and Auxiliary Services is seeking a qualified Sales Associate for the University Stores. The primary location will be The University Store on Fifth, but the employee will be expected to rotate/support all stores and Copycat. - Excellent customer service skills - Attention to accuracy and details - Basic computer data entry skills - Product knowledge - Process online sales - Assisting customers with the selection of merchandise - Ability to operate standard retail and copy/print equipment - Maintains inventory of paper, bindery supplies, toner, and other consumables, orders supplies, and verifies accuracy of billing. - Ability to process a variety of transactions such as cash, checks, bankcard, Panther funds, gift certificates & cards, University requisitions, credit memos, and bookstore accounts. The incumbent will receive, stock, and merchandise products daily and be responsible for maintaining the sales floor. The ability to transport up to (50) pounds, spend many hours moving about the store. Participation in off-site events: the incumbent is required to work a minimum of 22.5 hours per week, including weekends and some holidays. Overtime hours will be required as needed. A High School Diploma or GED is required. This role involves a mix of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift. May involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 lbs, with accommodations available as needed.
