Maintains records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Assists general ledger account owners with reconciliation of month end account balances. Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to bank transactions including preparing journal entries and the appropriate audit work papers for such activities. Identifies areas for process improvement in the accounting department to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Maintains robust internal control systems to safeguard the bank's assets and ensure the integrity of our financial data and reporting. Educational Requirements University (Degree) Preferred Minimum Qualifications Experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close responsibilities. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and account reconciliation processes Preferred Qualifications Experience Depth: 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a financial services or regulated environment. Internal Controls Expertise: Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 compliance and maintaining internal control frameworks. Systems & Process Improvement Skills: Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., TPG, Oracle, Power Query, Power BI, AI) and demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
