The Fabrication Manager supervises a team of welders and fabricators who work on the necessary component parts of a piping fabrication that supports the organization’s production goals and objectives while meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations. Lead Responsibilities. Personal integrity, leadership skills, and communications ability to inspire optimum performance among a diverse set of employees. Responsibilities. Directs entire fabrication production workflow. Oversees interpretation of drawings/specification. Demonstrates understanding of core welding technologies and educates team. Interfaces with various levels in the organization and shares information as required. Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace. Maintains accurate records and metrics. Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement. Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area. Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops fabrication staff; manages schedules and workflow. Performs additional duties as assigned or required. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED. College degree preferred. Certified in welding, forklift certification. 5 years or more of experience in fabrication supervision in same/similar industry or role. 1 years successfully managing a team of employees. Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365. Expert level distribution-specific ERP systems skills. Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal]. Thrives in a collaborative team environment. Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach. Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test. Benefits.
