This role is responsible for assisting in proper risk selections, ordering and reviewing medical requirements and developing favorable work relationships with agents and associates. The pay range for this position is $100,000-$125,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance. Be ready to: review submitted applications and determine the overall acceptability based on adequate pricing and standard underwriting principlesmaintain overall quality and efficiency of work performed within the teamassist in training other associates on the teamassist in teaching continuing education classes for underwriters and agent schoolsserve as an underwriting expert and be available for special projects and task forcesassist in the development of new forms, procedures and programsserve as a referral underwriter. Be equipped with:general knowledge of the insurance industryleadership skillsthe ability to work independentlyeffective communication skillsexcellent decision-making skillsan understanding of current events, market conditions, financial underwriting and the functions of other departments within the company.
