Responds to emergent situations including code blue, trauma, code stroke, STEMI, and maternal or neonatal emergencies. Carries out hospital and nursing policies, procedures, and standards. Visits patient care units to assess patient conditions, evaluates staffing needs, and supports caregivers. Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain management techniques, and educates patients and families on pain management. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
