As a Customer Service Rep 1 within the Columbus Health Department at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Job Responsibilities This position will be housed in Columbus, GA and will perform a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions in support of the Columbus Health Dept clinic. You will support the Department by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities:assisting patients with questions regarding available services and providing program informationpatient intake/data entry and verifying insurance information collecting fees for services rendered, answering phones, operating standard office equipment, and filingother duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/ GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health experience, administrative and/or medical office experience.
