We are seeking a detail-oriented Histotechnician with strong technical skills and a passion for quality patient care. Position Highlights Competitive pay: $42/hour 13-week travel contract Day shift schedule – no weekends required Collaborative laboratory environment Opportunity to work with advanced histology techniques and instrumentation Responsibilities Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic evaluation and diagnosis Perform embedding, microtomy, and special stains procedures Maintain laboratory instrumentation and perform troubleshooting as needed Follow quality assurance, infection control, and laboratory safety standards Maintain accurate records and documentation Assist with inventory management and laboratory projects Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Histology experience Current BLS certification (AHA only) Current ASCP certification (HT or HTL) Strong experience with: Embedding Microtomy Special Stains Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
