Sales and Service Excellence: Foster a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty and exceptional client service delivery. Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional product and/or services solutions. Maintains awareness of planned advertisements and promotions. Provides exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services. Effectively utilizes communication tools to request assistance anywhere on the sales floor, and to coordinate the appropriate service, and customer engagement throughout the store. Able to evaluate the customer’s needs to determine the total solution. Leadership and Team Development: Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to store associates, including Print Services associates. Facilitate training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers. Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty. Provide feedback to the General Manager regarding store associates' performance, certification(s), and competencies. Other responsibilities as deemed necessary Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards. Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies. As a leader in the store, ensure regular loss prevention compliance. Assist the General Manager in providing guidance and effective coaching to associates for improved performance. Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives. External Key Carrier Responsibilities: Maintain the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other managers. In partnership with all associates, ensure regular loss prevention compliance. Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including activation and deactivation of the store's alarm system, cash handling, and daily store balancing. Fulfill responsibilities associated with External Key Carrier designation Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; coursework in Business, Retail Management, or related field a plus 1–3 years related experience; retail, sales, customer-facing, and/or supervisory experience preferred Knowledgeable in Technology and Print, including use of relevant equipment and POS systems Skills & Competencies: Strong selling, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written) Proven ability to lead, coach, and train others; works well independently and as part of a team Comfortable using technology and systems to complete daily responsibilities Demonstrates problem-solving, conflict management, time management, and business acumen Drives for results, directs others effectively, makes sound decisions, and collaborates well Adaptable, accountable, and able to maintain open availability About The ODP Corporation: The ODP Corporation is a leading provider of products and services through an integrated business-to-business (B 2 B) distribution platform and omnichannel presence, which includes world-class supply chain and distribution operations, dedicated sales professionals, online presence, and a network of Office Depot and Office.
