As a Recruiting Business Partner, you will partner with dedicated Sourcers to cultivate sourcing channels, develop relationships with hiring managers, and close searches against tight deadlines. We need a talented Recruiting Business Partner to help us find the best talent in the world to support our growth. The Recruiting Business Partner will work with a team of peers including Sourcers and Recruiting Coordinators focusing in the areas of candidate talent search and placement, process improvement, strategy development and will act as the primary point of contact for supported groups. They will foster a collaborative team environment and a strong service-oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality driven service to internal customers and meets customer service level agreements. The ideal candidate must be able to successfully manage, prioritize and close searches against a timeline and have experience setting benchmarks, metrics, and understand how to prioritize to hit all customer SLAs. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, have fun, and get the job done. The best candidates will draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders, hiring managers and HR business partners. They have a reputation for being exceptional at candidate generation, client/account management, organization, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, have an ability to prioritize their time, demonstrate push back and a sense of urgency, and understand the value of providing amazing customer service. This is onsite and can be Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA. Key job responsibilities Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment. Effectively conduct, negotiate and close complex offers in competitive markets. Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer. Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process. Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for senior-level openings. Partner with cross functional teams to deliver a pipeline of both internal and external candidates. Drive positive candidate experience by influencing client teams to follow best practices, such as effective and compliant job descriptions, messaging, and clear value propositions, and provide excellent candidate experience. A day in the life. No two days are exactly the same as a Recruiting Business Partner at Amazon, but the rhythm of the role centers on a dynamic blend of strategic partnership, hands-on recruiting, and continuous improvement. A significant part of your day is spent partnering closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing strategies. You calibrate on candidate profiles, set clear expectations on timelines and deliverables, and use data benchmarks, funnel metrics, and conversion rates to advise on market conditions and shape search approaches. You're the primary point of contact for your supported groups, and that means managing multiple stakeholder relationships simultaneously while ensuring customer SLAs are met. Equally important is the candidate-facing side of the work. You collaborate with dedicated Sourcers to cultivate sourcing channels and engage passive talent, then conduct screens and interviews with a focus on profiling candidates for fit, chemistry, and motivation not just selling a role. You prepare strong candidate slates, keep the process moving within consistent timelines, and when the right candidate emerges, you navigate complex offer negotiations in competitive markets to close the deal. Beyond the day-to-day execution, you're always looking for ways to raise the bar. That might mean contributing to diversity sourcing strategies, refining interview best practices, driving process improvements, or partnering with cross-functional teams to strengthen internal and external talent pipelines. You document plans with clear deliverables and tracking milestones, and you regularly review your metrics and pipeline health to flag risks and stay ahead of your goals. Throughout it all, you foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture delivering efficient, high-quality results to your internal customers while ensuring every candidate has an exceptional experience. About the team. Amazon's People eXperience and Technology (PXT) organization is the global people function responsible for shaping the employee experience for over one million Amazonians worldwide. PXT encompasses HR business partnership, employee relations, talent management, compensation, inclusion and diversity, learning and development, and the technology platforms that support employees across every business lane from field operations and corporate teams to cloud services and beyond. PXT operates by working backwards from Amazonians, solving complex problems with science and data, scaling through technology, and favoring transparent communication. Within PXT, the Talent Acquisition (TA) organization plays a critical role in fueling Amazon's growth by delivering business-led, technology-enabled, and candidate-centric hiring experiences. TA partners with leaders across PXT to attract, assess, and hire top talent for roles spanning Field Operations, Corporate PXT, and General & Administrative functions. The team's strategic priorities include agile demand planning, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, building a one-team culture, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience. As a Recruiting Business Partner on this team, the role serves as the connective tissue between PXT's people strategy and the talent needed to execute it helping Amazon hire the people who will shape the Amazonian experience. Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree, or 2 years of full-time Amazon experience- 3 years of closing candidates and negotiating offers experience- Experience with contact management system/applicant tracking system for sourcing, tracking and managing candidates- 3 years of recruiting experience (agency or corporate)- 3 years of experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships. Preferred Qualifications- Ability to implement recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management and interview process management- Passion for and proven success creating and implementing successful diversity strategies- Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision- Experience recruiting in a highly competitive environment- Strong commitment to continuous improvement- Ability to own one or more recruiting projects, partnering with client teams including, but not limited to improving process improvement, candidate experience, etc.
