ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest’s name when possible. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times. Maintain complete knowledge of the menu offerings. Escort guest to their table. Communicate clearly to management and other host to ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently. Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell. Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently. Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language. Anticipate guests service needs, engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings. Notify management of maintenance repair issues.
