Plan and operate simulation-based educational events. Supervise simulation center technical operations and control room activities. Collaborate with faculty to develop simulation scenarios and curricula. Manage high-fidelity simulators, VR/ AR systems, and task trainers. Oversee audiovisual systems including recording, debriefing, and streaming solutions and retained video data. Coordinate vendor relationships for equipment maintenance and upgrades. Implement quality improvement initiatives. Provide technical support during simulation sessions. Lead faculty development sessions on simulation technology and methodology. Manage digital asset library and simulation center data. Analyze equipment function and simulation center offerings. Review and maintain simulation center policies and procedures. Coordinate with IT department for system integration and support. Mentor junior simulation specialists and technical staff. Implement quality improvement initiatives. Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution. Attend minimum one personal development conference, training, etc. per fiscal year. Remain current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position. Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution. Perform all other duties as assigned. Leads operation of educational activities of the simulation center, including analyzing educational requirements and deploying educational tools and staff to meet curricular objectives. Provide guidance to faculty/educators on best methods to design and assess simulation activities. Bachelors Degree in Science. Background in healthcare related field with four (4) years related full-time paid experience. Masters degree in education or healthcare related field preferred. Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS)Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT environment. Minimum of 2 years experience in Simulation Center/ Section environment. Prior experience in employee oversight or completed training in supervision for new supervisors. Wired and wireless networking, internet and information technology experience. Experience and or familiar with high/mid/low fidelity human patient simulators. Familiar with Mac and Windows Operating Systems; ability to communicate proactively, pleasantly and professionally with diverse customer and collaborator populations. Understanding basic electronic components and circuits for maintenance and troubleshoot electronic and computer equipment. Preferred experience in managerial skills. Preferred experience in simulation technology. Masters degree in education or healthcare related field OR - Bachelors degree with four (4) years related full-time paid experience. CHSOS or CHSE
