Title & Survey: Order, review, and analyze title commitments, exceptions, and ALTA/ NSPS surveys. Prepare objection letters and track resolutions. Closing Documents: Draft and assemble closing documents (deeds, bills of sale, assignments, easements, settlement statements, FIRPTA certificates). Deal Coordination: Build and maintain transaction checklists and closing timelines; drive the team and outside parties to deadlines. Due Diligence & Logistics: Manage UCC, lien, judgment, and litigation searches. Coordinate signing logistics, escrow funding instructions, and wire confirmations. Post-Closing: Manage recording confirmations, document tracking, final title policy delivery, and closing binder assembly. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of commercial real estate paralegal experience (law firm setting strongly preferred). Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of title/survey workstreams and commercial closing mechanics (escrow, recording, wire logistics). Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, and excellent communication skills to interface directly with clients, lenders, and opposing counsel. Note: A four-year college degree is not required. Demonstrated experience and judgment are prioritized over formal credentials.
