Lead development of advanced power converter projects from concept to the delivery of a fully validated solution that meets specified requirements. Recognized technical expert in Automation & Controls technology related to Power Generation, Distribution and Balance of plant applications including but not limited to systems engineering design/application SW for marine and other industrial applications. Lead Design and implementation of optimized control architectures that meet the product requirements, considering the existing components and future control platform evolution in the business. Establish a total quality management strategy to assure early involvement on manufacturing process/producibility matters. Improve the efficiency of the engineering process, through development and use of standard engineering solutions. Drive lean mind set to provide optimum technical solutions for the projects. Enabling Sales to build opportunity pipelines for products and systems by enhancing the specification with customers and Design Consultants and associated Industrial End Users to get the product in the standards. Create models of the power electronics for use by power systems engineers for performing power system and power quality studies. Support sales and business development by reviewing customer requirements and highlighting differences / gaps between those requirements and power converter capabilities. Collaborate with global GEV PC&S P&L organizations to understand power converter technologies produced at those factories that can be used to satisfy customers in North America. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related with a minimum of 10 years of experience in automation and power systems projects and integration of controls OR PhD in Electrical Engineering or related with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and power systems projects and integration of controls. Minimum 3 years of experience working in system engineering design, application and testing. Minimum 2 years of experience using Real Time Simulators. Eligibility Requirements:The required work location is Imperial, PA (relocation assistance provided if not already local).
