This role is field-based and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. This geography covers MI, OH, KY, WV, VA, NC, SC, DC, MD, MA, PA, NY, DE, NJ, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME, and northern Indiana. The FRM Associate Director leads and develops a regional team of Field Reimbursement Managers who educate healthcare providers (HCPs) on AbbVie’s Immunology Patient Support Programs, emphasizing patient access and reimbursement inquiries related to AbbVie’s immunology portfolio. This leader brings deep market access expertise to ensure the team operates effectively and in compliance with all regulations, enabling timely patient access to AbbVie therapies. Key Responsibilities: Manage, coach, and support the FRM team to deliver compliant, effective access and reimbursement services. Conduct field ride-alongs to assess performance, ensure the use of AbbVie-approved tools, and provide targeted coaching based on organizational strategic imperatives Collaborate with Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and Access & Reimbursement Hub to maintain consistent, compliant program execution. Integrate patient access programs into local/regional strategies; identify and address training opportunities. Monitor healthcare policy changes and communicate relevant insights to the FRM team. Track call activity and operational capacity using analytics tools. Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with AbbVie standards and procedures. Drive professional development for direct reports, providing clear career progression and performance oversight. Qualifications 3 experience in coverage, coding, managed healthcare, and/or market access for immunology products—including areas such as payer account management and/or demonstrate comprehensive expertise in the market access landscape, including its impact on patient access and reimbursement . years in a leadership role (3 years preferred), with proven team and talent development success. Highly skilled and experienced in coaching, with expertise in territory and strategic account management, including process mastery, customer engagement, strategic thinking, collaboration, and understanding of market dynamics. Skilled in coaching, training, and communicating complex reimbursement policies. Deep understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D reimbursement, specialty drug acquisition, and distribution. Proven ability to navigate regulatory requirements and mitigate compliance risks. Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred. Ability to travel up to 75%. Valid driver’s license: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements. Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment.
