The Supervisor, Front Office, is responsible for overseeing the coordination, daily operations, quality, and compliance of all front office functions across one or more locations. This role serves as a key liaison among physicians, patients, and administrative teams while leading staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. You will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, supporting staff development, and upholding City of Hope’s mission, values, and service standards. As a successful candidate, you will:Oversee daily front office operations, ensuring efficient workflows and exceptional patient service. Lead, coach, and develop Patient Office Representatives, including hiring, training, and performance management. Monitor and analyze KPIs, sharing insights and driving improvements in quality and operational performance. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in scheduling, registration, phone triage, and documentation processes. Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, administration, and support departments to ensure coordinated care. Manage insurance verification, authorizations, and financial counseling processes for patients. Ensure compliance with revenue cycle processes, including copay collection and cash reconciliation. Support a professional, welcoming environment while driving the “HOPE Experience” for patients and families. Oversee medical record processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and EMR integrity. Provide leadership coverage and maintain seamless operations in the absence of practice leadership Qualifications. Your qualifications should include:High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 7 years of medical office experience (Bachelor’s degree may substitute for years of experience)At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of front office workflows, patient scheduling, and insurance processes. Experience with EPIC (preferred) and Microsoft Office tools. Understanding of regulatory guidelines and revenue cycle best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
