As a Sterile Processing Technician at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will decontaminate surgical instruments and other medical equipment. Assemble, prepare and package surgical instruments and equipment, and process using various methods of high/low temp sterilization and disinfection. While maintaining quality control and biological monitoring systems for sterilization processes. Answer the telephone and respond to requests for sterile instruments and supplies. Prepare and distributes case carts and sterile supplies. Utilize computer system for case cart stock supply, stock return, and electronic instrument management system. Daily Operations: Prepares and delivers case carts. Utilizes aseptic technique when handling and distributing sterile instruments and supplies. Decontaminates surgical instruments and other medical equipment. Prepares and wraps instrument sets for various methods of sterilization. Answers telephone, fills orders, issues and stocks supplies. Utilizes various methods of high/low temp sterilization and disinfection. Maintains quality control records for all sterilizers. Utilizes computer for department specific supply picklists and Goods/ Issue/ Returns. Utilizes instrument tracking system.
