Senior Systems Analyst - Clinical Systems

Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements across enterprise and clinical systems. Lead support and optimization efforts for EMR and other enterprise applications, ensuring system stability, performance, and data integrity. Act as a senior liaison between business units (clinical, operations, and health plan teams) and IT, translating business needs into scalable system solutions. Collaborate with developers, integration teams, and vendors to design, configure, and support system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades. Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution across internal and external teams. Participate in and help lead the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and post-production support. Develop and oversee execution of test plans (unit, integration, and UAT), ensuring high-quality system delivery. Analyze cross-system workflows (clinical, operational, and administrative) and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience. Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and scalability. Manage escalated support tickets and identify trends to recommend strategic, long-term solutions. Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including process flows, configurations, and user guides. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Support audits, regulatory compliance, and data integrity initiatives across enterprise and clinical systems. Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives and special projects involving integrated healthcare systems. Technical & Functional Skills. Strong understanding of EMR platforms and enterprise applications in healthcare environments. Knowledge of workflows across clinical care delivery, home care, and/or health plan operations. Experience with system integrations, data flows, and interoperability concepts. Solid knowledge of SDLC methodologies and systems analysis practices. Ability to evaluate system capabilities, limitations, and integration points across enterprise platforms. Experience with ticketing systems and managing production support environments. Core Competencies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex healthcare environment. Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Sound judgment and decision-making when evaluating system solutions and trade-offs. Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and work across teams. Nice to Have. Experience in home care, managed care, or integrated healthcare delivery environments. Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, HIPAA). Experience with reporting, analytics, or data tools supporting clinical and operational insights.
