Assists in emergency response and drills for pipelines. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and directs necessary repairs, modifications and calibrations of equipment used in operations of entire oil, gas, and produced water gathering systems. Follow safety procedures regarding facilities and pipelines. Troubleshoots equipment and facility problems. Perform minor repairs and servicing and notify Pipeline Supervisor if necessary. Report volumes and key facility operating parameters to Supervision. Responds to alarm callouts during off-shift hours when on-call. Performs facility and pipeline start-up and shut-down operations. Perform gas tests as needed. Monitors facility for major problems and shuts down if necessary. Participates with all Contract, third party, and Chevron personnel to promote safety. Performs compressor, LACT and other mechanical repairs as needed. Maintain PHMSA regulated pipeline compliance items including cathodic protection surveys, annual valve inspections, ROW inspections, etc. Manages closures of work orders through CMMS/ Infor systems. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver`s license with a history of safe driving practices. 1 year demonstrated experience in oil and gas operations. Ability and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends and holidays of assigned work schedule and overtime based on workload Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in petroleum or Process Technology or related technology discipline Two years current related experience in oil and gas, or related petrochemical industries One-year current related experience with Process Safety Management program One-year current related experience in Pipeline Operations and valid DOT Operator Qualifications Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production related issues Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment Familiar with pneumatic/electronic instrumentation Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS, SCADA, and an aptitude for learning new software packages Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers Ability to manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision IMPORTANT NOTE: As part of the application process, you will be required to take an assessment that measures aptitude and work styles.
