Administrator for Academic Research and Initiatives (12 months)Salary: $147,191 - $151,010 Position Overview. East Hartford Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly analytical educational leader to serve as the Administrator for Academic Research and Initiatives. This individual will support districtwide systems, initiatives, and strategic priorities that strengthen teaching and learning through research, data analysis, innovation, and organizational coherence. Working closely with the Superintendent and Executive Leadership Team, the Administrator for Academic Research and Initiatives will help align district systems, identify operational efficiencies, support instructional improvement efforts, and enhance the district\s ability to leverage data-informed decision-making in support of student achievement and organizational excellence. This position plays a critical role in advancing the East Hartford Public Schools strategic planning framework through project management, reporting systems, instructional research, assessment coordination, and collaborative leadership across departments. Qualifications. Required Education and Certification - Master\s degree from an accredited college or university in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field. - Connecticut 092 Intermediate Administrator or Supervisor Certification (or eligibility to obtain). Required Experience - Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in education or a related field. - At least five (5) years of leadership experience within a school district or educational organization. - Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: o Educational assessment and accountability o School improvement planning o Program evaluation o Data analysis and reporting o Large-scale educational data systems o Strategic planning and organizational leadership. Key Responsibilities. The successful candidate will: - Support districtwide strategic initiatives aligned to the EHPS vision, goals, and instructional priorities. - Coordinate and support the development of data tools, reporting systems, and professional learning opportunities that inform instruction and enhance student outcomes. - Analyze organizational processes and recommend efficiencies to strengthen district performance and coherence. - Collaborate across departments to facilitate access to high-quality data and reporting structures that support decision-making. - Research emerging trends, innovative practices, and instructional strategies to support continuous improvement efforts. - Assist with the monitoring and implementation of instructional grants and related budget oversight. - Support curriculum development, instructional programming, assessment systems, and resource alignment across Pre. K 12 and Adult Education. - Partner with school and district leaders to design and implement comprehensive assessment and accountability protocols. - Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses to support executive leadership and district initiatives. - Utilize an equity-centered lens to support programming and instructional practices that meet the diverse needs of all learners. - Maintain current knowledge of educational trends, accountability systems, legislation, and instructional best practices. Preferred Skills and Abilities - Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. - Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines with attention to detail. - Experience utilizing data systems, reporting platforms, and instructional technology tools. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft SharePoint. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment. - Commitment to collaboration, innovation, equity, and continuous improvement. Terms of Employment - Twelve-month position - Salary and work year in accordance with the EHEASU Agreement - Comprehensive benefits package available
