The Continuous Improvement Specialist will coordinate and lead a wide range of activities that are designed to improve on-time delivery, productivity, quality, cost, safety, and/or environmental performance. This individual will assist in the evaluation process, justification of improvements, and with carrying out the implementation plan. They will lead moderate-to-complex improvement initiatives across a site, region, or end-to-end value stream (manufacturing and/or service). Provide facilitation and coaching to cross-functional teams, standardize best practices, and drive sustained performance improvements. They will deliver multi-functional results and mentor others in CI methods. BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience). Degrees or Advanced Degrees with an emphasis on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence considered a plus. Experience: 5 years delivering CI / process excellence results, including cross-functional projects, change adoption, and sustainment. Certifications: Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt preferred (or equivalent advanced certification). Advanced facilitation (value stream mapping, rapid improvement events, daily management coaching). Strong analytical capability (process capability, root cause analysis, basic statistics) and storytelling with data. Coaching and influencing without authority; experience working with leaders and frontline teams. Project and change management skills; ability to manage risk and stakeholder expectations. Experience standardizing and replicating improvements across departments or sites. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in cross-functional teams. Comfortable working in shop floor, repair center, or field service environments as required. Process and leadership-oriented mindset. Meeting facilitation and training skills required. NATURE OF THE JOB - Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives and value stream mapping across end-to-end processes. Apply advanced Lean / Six Sigma methods to improve capability, quality, delivery, and cost. Coach teams on problem-solving and CI tools; mentor junior CI practitioners. Drive replication of best practices across sites/regions; establish control plans. Partner with IT/ Analytics to enable data-driven process improvements where applicable. Aid deployment of business strategies throughout the organization ensuring alignment of improvement initiatives. SUPERVISION/ CONTACT WITH OTHERS - May provide functional leadership to project teams and mentor junior practitioners. Limited direct reports may be assigned based on organization needs. Leads initiatives with cross-functional scope and significant financial/customer impact; may span a site, region, or end-to-end process. Responsible for benefit tracking and sustainment. Sets project plans and priorities for assigned initiatives. Recommends process changes, investments, and standards to leadership based on data, risk, and customer impact. Regular interaction with site/region leadership and cross-site teams to lead initiatives, remove barriers, and replicate best practices. Contact with all levels within the organization can be expected. Interfaces with customers/suppliers as needed to improve end-to-end processes.
